James Safety Consultants Limited (JSC) was established in 1997.
The founder and Director is Mr CHEUNG Chun-wah, James.
JSC is an occupational safety and health auditing and consultancy firm.
It is a training provider as well. It provides services to
construction industry, manufacturing industry, office and non-industrial
undertakings.
In 2001, JSC organised, with the Hong Kong Productivity Council, a series of safety training programs. The programs include mandatory general safety training for construction industry, confined space training courses for certified workers and competent persons, safety supervisor training course and safety management training course, etc. These programs had been approved by the Labour Department as recognised training courses for fulfilling the requirements of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinances and the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Confined Space) Regulation.
In May 2002, JSC launched a Labour Department approved 'Safety Auditor Training Scheme' to train potential candidates to Registered Safety Auditors. This training scheme was included in the list of reimbursable courses for CEF purpose in 2003.
In 2004, the Hong Kong Baptist University, School of Continuing Education organises the
'Professional Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health' course. The course provides a comprehensive academic training for Registered Safety Officers in Hong Kong. JSC provides academic support to the course.
In 2006, the Hong Kong Baptist University organized 3 'Extension Courses in Occupational Safety and Health' for the graduates of the 'Professional Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health' to achieve the membership of the UK Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. JSC provides academic support to the course.
